VOIP Challenges

In spite of having a number of benefits that people get from VOIP, it has lot many limitations too.  VOIP has restrictions of networking and software programming that’s why it has failed to send duplicates. Further you cannot even make a call when there is a situation of power failure. If you want to use VOIP at your place then it is much to re arrange your total wiring of landline telephones, VOIP cannot get started directly with landline wiring. More over another problem of VOIP is of its inability of working in more than one system that means you can’t make a LAN system with internet connections.

Voice over IP has been implemented using various technologies. These implementations are both proprietary and open protocols and standards. The Examples of such technologies for Voice over IP includes SIP, IMS, RTP and H.323.

We know very well that VOIP is a technology totally based on IP address; however sequential order of data transferring cannot be expected since face obstacles deals with engineering especially in case of satellite circuits are included.  While processing this kind of stuff if it gets interruption, it again starts with all the process for consistency. The only way to minimize the things is function of jitter buffer. Though Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) has got many advantages In terms of cost features and flexibility, along with that it has got some disadvantages too. The other challenge of VOIP is security as compared with other Internet technologies such as identity, malware, viruses, spamming, call tempering, service theft and many more.

However VOIP is trying to alter the traditional telephone line totally to the worldwide but you can’t forget the main facility provided by this traditional landline phone of emergency calls. These calls are very necessary in nature while you are in trouble, it will find you out even when you won’t be able to talk to nearest call center. This is the key factor and critical issue, which reduces the usage of VOIP. Still VOIP providers are trying to cope up with this facility.
